Emilie Bigorgne-Vizade has over 15 years of experience in Ecotoxicology with more than 10 years of experience as a Regulatory Ecotoxicologist.  

Emilie holds a PhD with research in Ecotoxicity of nanomaterials. Thanks to her experience on nanomaterials, she worked for french government agency (ANSES) where she has been involved on CLP classification of titanium dioxide and she managed projects for various REACH regulatory process with ECHA and french authorities. Assessing dossiers was a great opportunity to start in chemicals regulations but Emilie wanted to understand the strategy by building the dossier from scratch and from update (spontaneous or regulatory request) from registrant side. Since she started working in consulting, she has been using her problem solving skills to assist clients with difficult substances and stay constantly informed about the latest regulations. In addition to this, Emilie is recognised as European Register of Toxicologist (ERT) since 2020.

As Principal Consultant, Emilie enjoys bringing her technical and regulatory knowledge to help industrial clients comply with regulatory compliance for their substances. She has supported clients across a wide range of chemical substances (UVCB, mono/multiconstituents, NCS…) and she has a broad expertise in fragrances. Emilie is a regulatory ecotoxicologist with in-depth expertise in chemical sectors with REACH, CLP. Her technical work focuses on environmental classification, PBT/vPvB and PMT/vPvM assessment, data-gap analysis, literature search, integrated and alternative testing strategies, study monitoring, environmental exposure, environmental hazard (PNEC) and environmental risk assessment (Chesar/EUSES, CHARM model, PetroRisk, Simple Treat). She can also be involved in other sectors to support her team. Another role of her position is project manager as she is responsible of complex projects with challenging regulatory context. As Project Director, she is managing master projects with portfolio of substances where multidisciplinary teams are involved : she has an overview of the progress of all projects in order to guarantee the delivery of high quality projects on time. She is also the contact point of key clients to ensure good process and fluent communication. Efficiency and pro-activity are her key drivers for client satisfaction.  

At Blue Frog Scientific, Emilie leads the company's Environmental Safety Team. She oversees the pipeline, workload and professional growth of her team which operates in various sectors; Chemicals, Biocides, Agrochemicals and Pharmaceuticals. She is involved in business development and in internal processes, including development of guidance and tools. She is responsible that internal processes are being properly implemented. As team leader, her role is to support her team, share the knowledge within the team and provide resources necessary to achieve team performance and company values and objectives.

Emilie is known for being conscientious and pragmatic, she is resilient and cheerful when dealing with challenges. Her high technical competence and quality/correctness focus associated with her strong organisation skills are assets which she uses to guarantee the scientific and regulatory quality of projects delivered to clients.
