Craig is a senior environmental fate scientist, providing expert advice on the fate and behaviour of plant protection products, biocides and chemicals in the environment.

Craig spent the first eight years of his career working in an environmental fate and metabolism group of a large contract research organisation studying the fate and metabolism of chemicals in the laboratory following OECD test guidelines. This role enabled Craig to develop first-hand experience in planning, managing and conducting studies on a variety of test chemicals for regulatory submission and, critically, the challenges faced with laboratory testing that clients often encounter with their chemicals.

Craig's current role at Blue Frog Scientific builds upon his previous laboratory and study director expertise – now providing clients with expert regulatory advice and support in the specialised area of environmental fate, with particular emphasis in the European plant protection industry. Craig now builds relationships with clients which he manages to help and support the development of new and existing active substances and products, providing guidance on the various steps of active substance or product authorisation including the monitoring of environmental fate studies, data gap analysis, FOCUS modelling, preliminary risk assessment and dossier preparation.

In addition to working on environmental fate challenges, Craig also manages global projects – acting as a project manager and regulatory lead for plant protection product submissions. In this role Craig liaises with Member States and regulatory bodies on behalf of clients who require product support and proposes solutions to overcome their regulatory challenges in conjunction with expert colleagues.
