RAC and SEAC have concluded their assessments on the petroleum and mining sector although will continue with TULAC and food contact materials evaluations in the November sessions. However, we have to wait until all sectors have been assessed before their draft opinions are shared. The committees are considering the differences between emissions of particulate PFAS, that tends to be fluoropolymers, and PFAS leachate for end of life scenarios.
Continued uncertainty about the draft opinions of RAC and SEAC until all sectors have been assessed. The focus on end of life further highlights the importance to understand the ultimate fate of PFAS materials including fluoropolymers.
