Blue Frog Scientific become the Newest Member of the Nanotechnology Industries Association

Blue Frog is excited to announce that it has become the newest member of the Nanotechnology Industries Association (NIA).  

Blue Frog will continue to build relations with the NIA and its members, facilitating key knowledge exchanges.  As a member Blue Frog will be privy to communications on regulatory movements for nanomaterials prior to there public release.  The NIA will provide us with another platform to raise and develop important topics in the field as a united voice through the Association.

Blue Frog to attend the Scientific workshop on Grouping of Nanomaterials at the OECD - 12-13 September

Blue Frog's Dr. Kai Paul will be attending the scientific workshop on nanomaterials.

The workshop will feed in results from the OECD working party for manufactured nanomaterials (WPMN) and bring together international experts to discuss and recommend how groups of nanomaterials can be developed around their physical chemical properties and hazards.

Key areas being discussed are:

Blue Frog Scientific were part of a group of scientists to identify priority research questions toward sustainable environmental quality

Scientists have collectively identified 22 priority research questions toward sustainable environmental quality in Europe and the role of anthropogenic chemicals.

The international study, including Blue Frog Scientific’s Kai Paul, has identified the 22 most important research questions that need to be answered to fill the most pressing knowledge gaps over the next decade.

Position available at Blue Frog - Recruiting Agrochemical Consultants

We are currently recruiting Senior Consultants or Consultants for our agrochemical sector to be based in our Edinburgh, Cardiff or Swansea offices, although other locations may be negotiated for the right candidates. The successful candidates will provide high level environmental modelling, environmental fate or ecotoxicology risk assessment services to our Clients, supporting the submission of agrochemical dossiers under Regulation EC 1107/2009.

Blue Frog Scientific's Dr. Kai Paul meets with Heriot-Watt Universities Prof. Vicki Stone, Prof. Teresa Fernandes and Dr. Helinor Johnston to discuss the exciting new EU project GRACIOUS.  

GRACIOUS is a project on Grouping, Read-Across and ClaissIficatiOn framework for regUlatory risk assessment of manufactured nanomterials and Safer design of nano-enabled products.  Blue Frog is a staunch advocates and practicioners of read-across, in silico testing and other alternatives to animal testing.
